Application Rate
For Wing-web administration:
Dose rates/directions for use:
Open the diluents and pour a small quantity into the bottle of vaccine, replace the rubber stopper and shake well. Pour the mixture back into the bottle of diluents and shake mixture vigorously. Do not open or mix the vaccine until ready for use.
Vaccination is accomplished by dipping the double needle in the mixed vaccine piercing the `web of the wing` from the underside. Do not apply through feathers, muscle or bone. The applicator must be re-dipped between each application.
Chickens from the flock should be examined for evidence of a `take` to ensure that the vaccine was applied properly. The evidence of a successful vaccination will appear at the point of vaccination within 7 to 10 days after vaccination. Brownish, black scabs will be found on both the under and upper surfaces of the web of the wing through which the needle vaccinator was thrust.
