Feeding Guidelines

Introduce feed gradually 21 days before calving
Feed approximately 4 to 8 kg per cow per day, depending on quality of roughage/grazing.
Minimise amount of legumes with high levels of potassium during this 21 days.
Feed 21 days to calving until 21 days after calving to ease transition period

For prevention of MILK Fever add Fivet Bovi-onic Salts (20kg) @ 200g per cow until calving.
DO NOT FEED this pack at start of lactation/after calving

Ensure that:

Cows have access to good quality grazing/roughage & water at all times.

THIS FARM FEED CONTAINS NPN SOURCES. MIX AND FEED STRICTLY
ACCORDING TO INSTRUCTIONS. 

1. Adaptation: When changing from NPN-free animal feed to NPN-containing meal it is
advisable to feed a 50/50 mixture over a period of 4-6 days.
2. Protect this farm feed against rain. NPN is soluble in water and animals drinking such a solution could be poisoned.
3. Do not feed this farm feed indiscriminately with other NPN containing farm feeds. Consult an animal scientist.
4. Vinegar is an effective remedy against NPN poisoning. Mix with an equal amount of water. Dose half a bottle per calf or large sheep or 2-4 bottles per head of cattle. (1 bottle = 750ml)
