Feeding Guidelines

Feed to lambs (25-30 kg) in pens. Feed ad lib with sufficient good quality roughage available ad lib. Intake should be around 800g – 1 kg per animal per day.
Grower feed, feed to lambs (30 -40 kg) in pens. Feed ad lib with good quality hay ad lib. Intake should be around 1kg – 1.5 kg per animal per day.
Finisher feed, feed to lambs (40 -55 kg) in pens until slaughter. Feed ad lib, take should be around 1.5 kg – 2 kg per animal per day.

Ensure that:

Goats/Sheep have access to good quality grazing/roughage & water at all times.
Pulpy Kidney Vaccination is up to date.

THIS FARM FEED CONTAINS NPN SOURCES. MIX AND FEED
STRICTLY ACCORDING TO INSTRUCTIONS

Adaptation: When changing from NPN-free animal feed to NPN-containing feed, it is advisable to feed a 50/50 mixture over a period of 4-6 days.
Protect this farm feed against rain. NPN is soluble in water and animals drinking such a solution could be poisoned.
Do not feed this farm feed indiscriminately with other NPN containing farm feeds. Consult an animal scientist.
Vinegar is an effective remedy against NPN poisoning. Mix with an equal amount of water. Dose half a bottle per large sheep or goat ( 1 bottle = 750ml)
